Welcome to isItaSinTo! As is customary in introductory computer programming languages, print ‘Hello Sinful World’;

I must confess I had it on my mind to start this website some time ago, but for whatever reason I never really got around to it till now though in my head I have probably already preached to an invisible audience in my head thousands of articles which should have been here.  I hope this site will be an encouragement to honest Christians of all denominations as well as an understanding ear and voice for those contemplating the meaning of this life in search of some eternal truths and purpose.

I wanted the first post to be a sobering truth, a reminder that regardless of our spiritual standing we are all still sinners living in a sinful world, regardless of the righteous heights we may have reached, none of us have ceased to sin and we must not forget this, lest we let the worst sin of all creep in, the Devil’s “PRIDE” and joy…and yes the worst sin in the world is:

PRIDE – It is pride that started the Heavenly Wars, due to his pride Lucifer was cast out. It was this same desire to be like God that Eve was tempted by when she listened to the evil serpent, Satan. It is pride that keeps most people from acknowledging they are sinners in need of salvation, pride that keeps them from accepting God’s gift of salvation through the sacrifice of his only begotten Son on the cross. It is prideful desire to be their own ‘masters’ that prompts men to claim there is no God. Pride is absolute selfishness and arrogance, a false sense of entitlement, for if it were not a ‘false’ sense of entitlement it would not be pride. But we are not gods, and we indeed are fallen and in need of saving, we are indeed sinners in need of grace and forgiveness, we are incapable of saving ourselves or being righteous of our own accord, and denial of any of these truths is nothing but blind wishful sinful thinking,  foolishness, and PRIDE.

“Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.”  — Proverbs 16:18

“The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds, there is none who does good.”  — Psalm 14:1

20For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. 21For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles. 24Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.”  — Romans 1:20-25
